Headquartered in Kobe, one of Japan’s historically most important ports for international trade, the Japan Pearl Exporters’ Association (JPEA) has for over seventy years been the leading point of reference for the Akoya pearl sector and for their dissemination and promotion in global markets.
Founded in 1954, the JPEA is recognized as an organization specifically authorized under the Import and Export Transactions Act. This status grants the association a prominent institutional role in regulating and coordinating the export activities of Japanese pearls, which worldwide are synonymous with quality, refinement, and reliability.
